Ninar Odisho, an Assyrian Christian in Syria, was walking with two Muslims when a number of Islamists stopped them. They let his friends go as soon as they found out that they were Muslims, but they kept the Christian for their own demonic pleasures. They killed him mercilessly, and burned a cross onto his face.

Why the Holy Cross? Because the Muslims, being controlled by diabolical forces, despise that sublime symbol of Christ defeating their master the devil. They are the “enemies of the cross of Christ” who St. Paul wrote of (Philippians 3:18). The demons holler and scream in excruciating agony at the very sight of the Cross, for they are reminded of their utter defeat on the day of the Crucifixion. And so do slaves of the demons strive to obliterate that image off the face of the earth.
This hatred for the Holy Cross is illustrated in this video, in which Muslims destroy several crosses in the Christian city of Kosovo:
In Macedonia it has been decided that a 33-metre-tall Christian cross in the capital city of Skopje will be built, and it is of no marvel that the Muslims there are already filled with rage because of this. One of these haters of Christ, Adem Ahmet, said that “There is no need for such monuments,”
Their hatred for the cross is reflected by the violence which they cause upon the saints. A young Christian man in Syria was kidnapped by these advancers of Satan, and they then told his mother that they were going to cut her son into pieces if she did not pay a certain amount of money. They then sent her video of her son being tortured by these sadistic citizens of the underworld, as we can see in this video:
They attacked Christians in Syria, and what do you think they sought to destroy? The Crucifix. One Christian woman spoke of their sacrilege:
they took the crosses, and one of them, they [the rebels] destroyed it [a cross]. …there is a statue for our Lady [Mary] and they tried also to destroy it.
They attacked a church in Egypt and, as expected of these luciferian mobs, they toppled the Holy Cross, as can be seen on this video:
They were also filmed attacking St. George’s Church in Egypt:
How does one explain this hatred? What needs to be understood is that these Muslims are iconoclast heretics, that is, they hate Christian icons. They consider the icons as idols, and when they attack Christians in Syria, they tell them to “renounce the ‘idolatry’ of Christianity and convert to Islam.”
When the Muslims overtook the Christian village of Maaloula, they drove the Christians out, accusing them of being “idol-worshippers” for their crucifixes and statues of Mary.
Now, if Mary is brought up in a discussion it is usual to hear accusation of idolatry. If I were to bring up Jackie Kennedy, or even some harlot like Marilyn Monroe, they would be praised as “American icons.” But the mother of Jesus? she is treated with no more hatred than that of the Muslims.
Iconoclasm is rampant in the American church, and this is concerning, for it is in common with the iconoclasm of Islam.

What makes this braggart any different than this violent heretic Muslim?
Many today would agree with the destruction of the Mary statues, justifying it as obliterating idolatry. How can one call the Catholics idolaters for expressing respect to Mary, when even Elizabeth, upon meeting Mary, exclaimed reverence when she said, “whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” (Luke 1:43) To say, “my Lord,” is literally “my Kyrios,” or “my God.” Was Elizabeth an idolater when she described Mary as the mother of my God? This is not to say that Mary gave birth to the Father, but to Christ Who is God.
To all those who object to images, I ask you to read the verse wherein it declares that “God created mankind in his own image” (Genesis 1:27).
Read where the Lord commanded Moses, that “thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.” (Exodus 25:18)
Tell me that icons are evil, and then read where the Lord tells the prophet to “make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.” (Exodus 26:1)
Agree with the Muslims that destroying Christian icons is good, and then read in the Scriptures where Solomon “made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.” (I Kings 6:23)
Read where it recounts how Solomon “made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.” (2 Chronicles 3:14)
I will not doubt that many people today, if they lived in ancient Israel, would have considered Moses an idolater when he “made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole,” so “that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.” (Numbers 21:9)
It is said that God cannot use objects, but Jesus’ garment was physical, and when a woman who was subject to bleeding touched it, “immediately her bleeding stopped.” (Luke 8:43)
St. Peter’s shadow was physical, but this did not stop the earliest Christians when they “brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.” (Acts 5:15)
Aprons and handkerchiefs are physical objects, but this did not prevent the Apostles, since they “brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” (Acts 19:12)
In the Last Supper, when Jesus said “This is that bread which came down from heaven” (John 6:58), was the bread not physical? When He said, “this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matthew 26:28), was not the wine physical? And yet the devil despised the Last Supper, for after the holy event, Christ told Peter “Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat” (Luke 22:31)
If men weep before a Christian image, they are called idolaters, but I have seen men cry before the American flag, and it is esteemed as patriotism. People accuse the Catholic of idolatry for weeping about Mary the mother of our Lord, but when Beck sobs about George Washington, no one would dare call him an idolater.
Read about how the Muslims destroy Christian images, say it is justifiable because they are idols, and then read the words of David when he wrote on the enemies of God destroying his carved icons:
Thine adversaries have roared in the midst of thine assembly; They have set up their ensigns for signs. They seemed as men that lifted up Axes upon a thicket of trees. And now all the carved work thereof They break down with hatchet and hammers. They have set thy sanctuary on fire; They have profaned the dwelling-place of thy name by casting it to the ground. They said in their heart, Let us make havoc of them altogether: They have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. (Psalm 74:3-8)
When the Muslims take over the churches, they destroy every icon, crucifixes and statues, and replace them with Islamic calligraphy and symbolism, and this parallels very well with those who “set up their ensigns for signs” and “break down with hatchet and hammers” “all the carved work thereof”.
The Muslims desecrated Joseph’s tomb, and not only this, they also defecated on the Holy Scriptures within it. This is only a sign that icons do matter.
When you read about the martyrs who are beheaded for the cause of Jesus, just remember that the persecutors are the haters of Christ’s Holy Cross, they are the haters of an icon.
Satan is an iconoclast.
