Navy SEAL Film Strikes Nerves

The film Lone Survivor that follows the story of four Navy SEALs on a mission in the mountains of Afghanistan and the one man who survived – Marcus Luttrell – is making news this weekend, for all the right reasons. First, during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper right before the film’s opening weekend, Luttrell didn’t take kindly to Tapper’s assertion that the situation on the mountain was ‘hopeless’.

Usually among the most sensible of a senseless mainstream media lot, in seeking to clarify what he meant, Tapper doubled down on stupid and substituted the word ‘senseless’ for ‘hopeless’, which only seemed to disgust Luttrell even more. The exchange demonstrated perfectly how the media elite is best described by another word that ends with ‘less’ – clueless.

The Grand Theater in Conroe posted a sign in its window announcing it had cancelled such hit films as “Anchorman 2” and the “Wolf of Wall Street.”

Here is the trailer for the film, which stars Mark Wahlberg as Luttrell:
