Antichrist: Looming on the Horizon

**SHOEBAT EXCLUSIVE**
By Walid Shoebat

Many are speculating in mainstream media outlets about what they perceive to be a weakened Turkish government under prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. A corruption scandal is dogging him and the ‘Arab Spring’ has hit a few bumps in the road.

According to ABC’s Religion and Ethics Report…

Back in 2011, when the impulse for reform and democracy looked like it was sweeping through the Middle East, Turkey’s prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan won rock star treatment throughout the Muslim world. The New York Times reported on his ‘Arab Spring tour’, which touched down in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia.

The leader of Tunisia’s an-Nahda party, Rashid al-Gannouchi, was just one among many putative Arab democrats who cited the Erdogan-led Justice and Development Party (AKP) as a template for the Muslim world. In Turkey, Erdogan had nurtured a deep and observant Islamic culture alongside democracy.

About the coming March 30th elections, World Affairs Journal (WAJ) reported:

A year ago or so, standing before his Justice and Development Party (AKP) Congress, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan proclaimed great goals for Turkey and himself, pointing towards 2023, the hundredth anniversary of the Turkish Republic, as a potential golden moment. Among his plans was a constitutional change giving the presidency enhanced powers equal to and perhaps exceeding even those of modern Turkey’s founding father, Kemal Ataturk.

A bit later, WAJ then confirms what we predicted two decades ago:

Erdogan has repeatedly sought the mantle of the Ottomans, and in an ironic way he has attained it, although not in the way he hoped. When speaking in Germany in February 2014 about Turkey’s upcoming March 30th municipal and local elections, the first of three over the next eighteen months, he could not avoid the topic of alleged government corruption, of a scale one might call “neo-Ottoman.”

But there is also another man in the mix – Abdullah Gul – about whom Al Jazeera Center for Studies wrote in 2012:

Gul succeeded in gaining the confidence of large segments of the population and advanced his position to become a symbol of unity and to maintain a balance between state institutions and its various arms.

Many in the Arabic media who oppose Turkey’s latest incursion into Syria, refer to Abdullah Gul in the context of what his name literally means. “Gul” literally translated into Arabic means “monster/beast”. While many argue that “Gul” is the Turkish meaning “rose”, they are not aware that the word is of Arab origin. The great-grandfather of Abdullah Gul was an Arab from Siirt who settled in Develi around 1915. Emine Erdoğan, the wife of Recep Tayyip Erdogan was also born to an Arab family in Siirt.

Such a pedigree plays a major role in advancing an Islamist cause which will unify the Muslim world, to include Iran, where the religious ruling sect are Azeri Turks.

Westerners cannot connect the dots. They view what happens in the Muslim world through a western lens, as demonstrated in the WAJ article:

In Germany, Erdogan answered charges of corruption and anti-democratic behavior by arguing that Turkey’s dramatic economic growth during his time in office, along with his party’s electoral triumph in 2011, prove he is honest and democratic. “The national income increased from $230 billion to $800 billion. Exports rose from $36 billion to $152 billion. Can a corrupt country or a government achieve this?”

Erdogan is telling everyone – including his people – that he is the savior of the Muslim world. After all, it is the Mahdi who increases and brings forth blessings to the people.

Erdogan has more control than the west thinks.

Erdogan has more control than the west thinks.

The west sees Erdogan’s AKP party as being in trouble while not realizing that Erdogan and Gul are two cunning devils who are fooling the west by playing the game of good cop vs. bad cop. Gul, while he said the law increasing government power over the judiciary violated the Turkish constitution, has done exactly the opposite and signed into law such controversial legislation increasing the government’s power over the judiciary. He clearly does the opposite of what he says.

Gul says that the ban on twitter will be over soon. Sure, it will; after the elections are over.

The ruling AKP also controls the media:

The reward for supporting the government could be business contracts but the punishment for not supporting it is NOT ‘no contracts’; it is getting tax fines and possibly facing bankruptcy. Thus, the choice for media bosses is unquestioning support for the government or bankruptcy.

According to the Publishing Institute, pro-Erdogan newspapers hold 41% of the market, 27% for Gulen and the liberals only hold 13%. Now with the Twitter ban, which the opposition desperately relies on, it looks like Erdogan will still be the Sultan of Turkey. According to Al Jazeera, the number of printed ballots is nearly three times higher than the number of registered voters. This is certainly cause to question the honesty of this election.

Pro-Erdogan newspapers dominate market in Turkey.

According to Al Jazeera…

The March 30 elections will define the soul of the Turkish political system for years, and possibly decades, to come. These local elections will be more consequential than the presidential election in August 2014 or the parliamentary elections in 2015. And, both the AKP and the opposition are fully aware of the potential repercussions of a defeat.

In a recent Brookings Institute Report, ALI Çarkoğlu writes:

There is some slight reduction of support for the AKP, but the gap between them and their competitors have not closed in any significant way. All the talk of the Gulen-Erdogan rift will mount to little effect.

The Antichrist is said to rule from Pergamus (Revelation 2:12-13), which Christ proclaimed would be the future seat of Satan. This is on the sides of the northern lands (Asia Minor / Turkey). In 2014 and beyond, Turkey will be spreading its tentacles throughout the Muslim nations. Eventually Egyptians, Libyans, Tunisians, Algerians, Moroccans, Mauritanians, Sudanese, Somalis, Syrians, Pakistanis, Azerbaijanis, Uzbeks, Turkmens will all be looking at Turkey’s Islamist model and pledging allegiance to the New Ottoman Empire.

A Caliphate will arise out of Turkey and the Gog of Turkey will portray himself as the re-incarnation of Muhammad, Saladin and the Ottoman Sulaiman Al-Qanuni (Sulaiman the law-giver).

Islam being controlled by non-Arabs will eventually put Saudi Arabia at risk of destruction by Iran (Isaiah 21). Arabia, the source of Islam, will be no more (Isaiah 34, Ezekiel 25:13) and the oil of the Arabs will burn forever (Isaiah 34:9). All this will happen despite the U.S. effort to arm Arabia to the teeth.

Unlike western media, which is in collective denial, the “Turkish Model” is today admired in all Muslim nations. Millions in the Muslim world are calling for Erdogan to lead them with his modernistic Islamist model. With the “Turkish Model”, Turkey and the Muslims will deceive the West into thinking that at least “moderate” Islam is better than fundamentalism. Peaceful Islam will be the talk for the next few years to come, especially after all the trouble going on in Syria.

“By peace he [Antichrist] will deceive many” (Daniel 8:25)

The West will enter the Neville Chamberlain era with “peace in our time”. They will fulfill 1 Thessalonians 5:3, which says, “just when they say peace and safety sudden destruction will come…” At this point, the West will find out in the end that “secular Islam” and “fundamentalist Islam” are two faces of the same coin.

Sultan Erdogan

Sultan Erdogan

We predict that the AKP will defeat the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) and the MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) in this coming election. Turkey will never be the same again. Erdogan has changed set times and laws. The new Sultan-Hitler, Tayyip Bey is on the horizon and all the western media saying he is losing momentum will wake up on March 31 and it will be Sultan Erdogan, the winner.
