Israel Setting Sights on Hamas for Murder of Three Jewish Teens

When three Israeli teens were kidnapped earlier this month, Palestinians began rallying their support for the kidnappers with a three-fingered salute. Now that the bodies of those three teens have been recovered, the sick sign of solidarity takes on additional meaning. It represents a three-fingered poke into the chest of Israel, which is sending signals that there may just be a vicious response.

To show just how much more Israel values life than does its Muslim Brotherhood enemies like Hamas, it’s worth noting that former Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit was traded for more than 1000 terrorist prisoners. That may give some indication as to just how angered the Israeli government is over the discovery that three captured Israeli teens have been murdered.

Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel, and Eyal Yifrach were kidnapped earlier this month. Today they were found shot to death and the Israeli government may be on the verge of a vicious response. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is setting his sights on Hamas:

“Hamas is responsible, and Hamas will pay,” Netanyahu said in a statement. He added that the teenagers “were kidnapped and murdered in cold blood by wild beasts.”

Echoing Netanyahu’s sentiment and anger is PM spokesman Mark Regev in this interview. While Regev is not tipping his hand relative to what kind of response we can expect but it’s quite clear that the Israeli government is not going to sit back and take these murders lying down:

In this CNN report, known Muslim apologist Ben Wedeman says that Israel’s Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon is pledging to ‘eradicate Hamas’ in response:
