Palestinians Riot against Israel in West Bank in Response to Hamas Killing Palestinians in Gaza

Once again, a school in Gaza was being used by Hamas to launch rockets into Israel. Once again, Israel issued warnings to the Red Cross to have civilians evacuate; and once again, Hamas prevented those evacuations. Not only that but according to the IDF, rockets launched from Gaza have actually landed in the city where the school is located.

The school – run by the UN – is in an area known as Beit Hanoun and was being used as a shelter for Palestinians who fled from earlier bombings. When it got hit, Palestinians in the West Bank near Jerusalem took to the streets and began rioting in response.

The protest came hours after 15 people were killed and more than 200 injured when a UN-run school in the city of Beit Hanoun, Gaza, was hit by an Israeli artillery shell.

Israel said today it had mobilised different units in and around Jerusalem to “deal with any disturbances”.

Obviously lost on these Palestinians is that their anger is misdirected and that Hamas should be the target of it.

…the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), posting on its official Twitter feed, said the Red Cross had received its message to evacuate civilians from the school, but Hamas had prevented people evacuating the area.

It added: “Several rockets launched from Gaza toward Israel fell short and hit Beit Hanoun.”

There you have it. Hamas doesn’t just fire rockets indiscriminately into Israel. As the case above illustrates, Those rockets are so randomly fired that sometimes they don’t even make it to Israel, thereby putting Palestinians in danger.

On top of that, when issued warnings by the IDF to evacuate because a precision strike is forthcoming, Hamas commands civilians to stay put to be used as political pawns – dead ones.

In typical illogical fashion, Palestinians in the West Bank are rioting against Israel because of something Palestinians (Hamas) are responsible for.

Yet, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon was quoted as saying, “it is totally unacceptable” what happened in Beit Hanoun; he was not talking about Hamas.
