Senator Cruz Booed Off Stage for Supporting Israel at Christian Event

Last night, a true hero was booed, heckled, and humiliated as he tried to stand up for morality in a world of sinners. The video can be seen here.

Senator Ted Cruz, a Texas Republican congressman was the keynote speaker at a sold-out D.C. dinner gala for the recently-founded non-profit ‘In Defense of Christians’.

Unlike most politicians, Senator Cruz spoke from the heart without the use of a teleprompter or cue cards.

He started by saying “tonight, we are all united in defense of Christians. Tonight, we are all united in defense of Jews. Tonight, we are all united in defense of people of good faith, who are standing together against those who would persecute and murder those who dare disagree with their religious teachings.”

The Texas congressman continued; “Religious bigotry is a cancer with many manifestations,” he continued. “ISIS, al-Qaida, Hezbollah, Hamas, state sponsors like Syria and Iran, are all engaged in a vicious genocidal campaign to destroy religious minorities in the Middle East. Sometimes we are told not to loop these groups together, that we have to understand their so called nuances and differences. But we shouldn’t try to parse different manifestations of evil that are on a murderous rampage through the region. Hate is hate, and murder is murder. Our purpose here tonight is to highlight a terrible injustice, a humanitarian crisis.”

“Christians have no greater ally than Israel,” he said, at which point members of the crowd began to yell “stop it” and booed him.

Cruz then explained that refusing to stand with Israel goes against the teachings of Christianity and empowers those in Middle East persecuting both Christians and Jews:

“Those who hate Israel hate America. Those who hate Jews hate Christians. If those in this room will not recognize that, then my heart weeps. If you hate the Jewish people you are not reflecting the teachings of Christ. And the very same people who persecute and murder Christians right now, who crucify Christians, who behead children, are the very same people who target Jews for their faith, for the same reason.”

As the heckling continued, Cruz said, “If you will not stand with Israel and the Jews, then I will not stand with you,” before exiting the stage.

You gotta give it to Ted Cruz. Everytime he expresses support for Israel he gets chastised. But he keeps fighting the good fight. During this summer’s war against Gaza, the Obama administration initiated an airline boycott of Israel. Flights were temporarily halted to the Jewish state. The blockade was initiated by Obama, but brushed off the responsibility to the FAA who subsequently stated that the ban was imposed out of concern for the risk of planes being hit by Hamas rockets.

In heroic fashion, Cruz called out the White House. Cruz is demanding an explanation for Israel to be singled out, while commercial flights continued to fly over Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Ukraine where a Malaysia Airlines Plane was shot down, killing all 298 passengers and crew members.

Cruz also requested to see any communication between the FAA, White House and State Department to determine if the ban on landings in Israel was intended to punish Israel or promote cease-fire efforts.

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf called Cruz’s comments “ridiculous and offensive.”

Fighting for Israel against a hostile White House comes with the territory, but Cruz probably never thought he’d have to fight for Israel’s cause against fellow Christians.

Fortunately, the In Defense of Christians’ (IDC) issued a statement condemning the hecklers saying “‘As Cardinal Rai so eloquently put it to the attendees of the In Defense of Christians’ inaugural Summit gala dinner: ‘At every wedding, there are a few wedding crashers.’  In this case, a few politically motivated opportunists chose to divide a room that for more than 48 hours sought unity in opposing the shared threat of genocide, faced not only by our Christian brothers and sisters, but our Jewish brothers and sisters and people of other all other faiths and all people of good will.

“Tonight’s injection of politics when the focus should have been on unity and faith, momentarily played into the hands of a few who do not adhere to IDC’s principles.  They were made no longer welcome” (end quote). This is comforting news but more should be done to expose anti-christs disguising themselves as Christians.

We Jews have the same problem. When the Israelites wandered in the desert for forty years, amongst them was a sect called the Erev Rav. Although technically part of the nation of Israel, the Erev Rav would conspire and incite the Jews to abandon God during their journey to the promised land. Today, the Jews still suffer from the Erev Rav. Many Jews masquerade under the banner of Judaism while their rhetoric is counter to everything the Old Testament teaches. Amongst them are the notorious sect called ‘Nturei Karta’.

If you ever saw hasidic Jews at a pro-palestinian/anti- Israel rally, they are most likely members of the Nturei Karta. The are part of today’s Erev Rav masquerading as Jews while supporting genocide of God’s chosen people. In response, Israel’s chief rabbi made an unprecedented moveexcommunicating them and blacklisting them. The mainstream orthodox Jewish community sees them as a cult and rightfully so. But it’s not enough. They are a small fringe, but seeing them dressed like Hassidic Jews side by side with Anti-Israel Jihadi protests or in Iran at a holocaust denial conferences in the media makes a big impact. Nturei Karta. More has to be done to humiliate them and constantly remind the Erev Rav that they don’t represent us.

The same goes for Christians. They have their own Erev Rav-the Presbetarian Church. In June 2004, the Presbyterian Church’s General Assembly met in Richmond, Virginia, and adopted by a vote of 431-62 a resolution “to initiate a process of phased, selective divestment in multinational corporations operating in Israel.”  Like the Obama administration, and Islamic anti semites, the Presbyterians  have decided to join the wave of anti Israel activity, worst of all, under the guise of Christianity. All true Christians should ostracize the hypocritical Presbyterian Church and treat them like a cult, no different than how you would treat a Scientologist. They must be called out every step of their anti-christ way until the world realizes that they do not represent Christianity despite their deep pockets.

Senator Ted Cruz’s hecklers were blacklisted by the event’s organizers. This is a good start. But it’s high time to put on our thinking caps and come up with creative ways of denigrating these cancers in our midst. On America’s 13th anniversary of 9/11, the battle continues. It would be comforting to know that we finally understand who our friends are and who our enemy is.
