U.S. Senator Committed Treason by Releasing Intelligence Report

By Lynn Woolley

Lay this decision at the feet of Senate Intelligence Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein.

And blame President Obama who likely could stop this. Feinstein can’t wait to tell the world how awful American “torture” was in the wake of 9/11. President Obama believes it is important to be transparent – at least this ONE time. These are NOT people who put their country first. Remember the events of September 11? The four hijacked planes! Almost 3-thousand Americans murdered? People jumping to their deaths from the top floors of the burning World Trade Center? Feinstein is essentially committing treason. She is putting the lives of our soldiers and other Americans in danger at home and aboard. Remember, this woman is a Democrat. A confirmed liberal. And like most of the bleeding heart class, she values the feelings of terrorists more than her own people.

As you might expect, former Vice President Dick Cheney reacted swiftly to Feinstein’s treachery saying the “harsh interrogation methods” were:

“…absolutely, totally justified…”

He continued:

“What I keep hearing our there is they portray this as a rogue operation, and the agency [CIA] was way out of bounds and then they lied about it. I think that’s all a bunch of hooey. The program was authorized.”

Even Secretary of State John F. Kerry telephoned Feinstein to warn her of the consequences of what she was about to do. Outgoing chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Mike Rogers (the upcoming Cumulus Media radio talk show star) went on CNN to say this is a terrible idea:

“Foreign leaders have approached the government and said ‘you do this, this will cause violence and deaths.’ Our own intelligence community has assesed that this cause violence and deaths.”

In may or may not, but that’s not the point. The point is that liberal, bleeding-heart Democrats care about murderous al Qaida terrorists more than they do about the wellbeing and security of their own country and its soldiers. Josh Earnest was asked about the timing of the release and he answered:

“When would be a good time to release this report? It’s difficult to imagine one, particularly given the painful details that will be included.”

The presidential spokesman is a doofus if he believes that. A “good time” would be fifty years from now when this would likely cause no upheaval and would make a nice topic for historians at Harvard. But not now — and not any time soon.

As for Obama, compare what the Bush administration did with “torture” to what Obama does with drones. The Bush CIA took known terrorists and deprived them of sleep, put them in stressful positions, and waterboarded them. Not one of them died that we know of, and it’s almost certain that valuable information was retrieved.

Obama sends out drones. Without much supervision and certainly without trials, he sends lethal unmanned aircraft and kills the terrorists and anybody else that happens to be present at the time of the strike. No terrorist is ever arrested and no intelligence takes place. You cannot interrogate a dead terrorist. The drone program works to the extent that the terrorist doesn’t operate anymore – but no information is ever obtained.

Liberals seem OK with that.

That’s why I would never be a liberal. And that’s why I – and a lot of other folks – would never want to be a part of the CIA. This is the thanks you get for serving your country.
