The First Western Journalist Allowed Extensive Access Into ISIS Has Returned With A Warning: “ISIS Is Much Stronger And More Dangerous Than Anyone In The West Realizes”

When we speak of ISIS, many westerners doubt the extent of its power until of course one of their own goes and visits it. The first Western journalist in the world to be allowed extensive access to Isis territories in Syria and Iraq has returned from the region with a warning: the group is “much stronger and much more dangerous” than anyone in the West realizes. Jürgen Todenhöfer, 74, is a renowned German journalist and publicist. Once within Isis territory, Todenhöfer said his strongest impression was “that Isis is much stronger than we think here”. He said it now has “dimensions larger than the UK”, and is supported by “an almost ecstatic enthusiasm that I have never encountered in any other warzone”.

“Each day, hundreds of willing fighters arrive from all over the world,” he told tz. “For me it is incomprehensible.”

Todenhöfer moved among Isis fighters, observing their living conditions and equipment. On his Facebook page, he has posted images which he said show German Heckler & Koch MG3 machine guns in the hands of Isis. “Someday this German MG could be directed to us,” he said.

He travelled through Turkey to Mosul, the largest city occupied by Isis, after months of negotiations with the group’s leaders.

Isis’s fighters themselves sleep, he said, in barracks formed from “the shells of bombed-out houses”. They number around 5,000 in Mosul, and are spread so widely that were the US to bomb them all “they would have to reduce the whole of Mosul to ruins”, he said.

Todenhöfer says that this ultimately means Isis cannot be beaten by Western intervention or air strikes – despite US claims last week that they have proven effective. “With every bomb that is dropped and hits a civilian, the number of terrorists increases,” he said.

Most concerning of all, he said, was Isis fighters’ belief that “all religions who agree with democracy have to die”.

He said the view that kept being repeated was that Isis want to “conquer the world” and all who do not believe in the group’s interpretation of the Koran will be killed. The only other religions to be spared, Todenhöfer said, were the “people of the book” – Jews and Christians.

Does this not sound like the biblical warning of Antichrist and whoever does not bow to the image of the beast will be killed?

“This is the largest religious cleansing strategy that has ever been planned in human history”, he told RTL.

In his view, Isis will soon come to the West to negotiate a level of co-existence adding: “If you want to defeat an opponent, you must know him.”

He told one reporter from CNN: “They are only 1% in the Islamic world, but this 1% movement has the power of a nuclear tsunami.”

He told CNN: “These are not stupid people. One of the people we met had just finished his law degree. He had great job offers, but he turned them down to go and fight… We met fighters from Europe and the United States. One of them was from New Jersey. Can you imagine a man from New Jersey traveling to fight for the Islamic State?”

One particularly interesting interview is one that Todenhöfer conducted with a German fighter who reportedly has a high-level position in ISIS’s leadership. Todenhöfer questioned him about the beheadings and enslavement that ISIS have become notorious for.

“Slavery absolutely signals progress,” the man replied. “Only ignorant people believe that there is no slavery among the Christians and the Jews. Of course there are women who are forced into prostitution under the worst circumstances. I would say that slavery is a great help to us and we will continue to have slavery and beheadings, it is part of our religion… many slaves have converted to Islam and have then been freed.”

The fighter also had a stark warning for the West, telling Todenhöfer: “We will conquer Europe one day. It is not a question of if we will conquer Europe, just a matter of when that will happen.”

“Our expansion will be perpetual… And the Europeans need to know that when we come, it will not be in a nice way. It will be with our weapons. And those who do not convert to Islam or pay the Islamic tax will be killed.”

So when we warn that ISIS now has camped in many nations and joined with it other terror entities, we do not say this haphazardly. ISIS is now in Pakistan and all across Pakistan, the black standard of the Islamic State has been popping up all over from urban slums to Taliban strongholds, the ISIS logo and name have appeared in graffiti, posters and pamphlets and a cluster of militant commanders in Pakistan declared their allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the caliph of the Islamic State as ISIS presence there increases by the day.

The problem in the West is that its comparing the ISIS problem with its previous predecessor Al-Qaeda so the western news consumers are not paying as much attention to how fast the Islamic State is moving and it’s not wasting time like al-Qaida did before and its moving in lightening speed.

Shoebat.com has warned that ISIS is moving quickly throughout the world and is seeking allegiance with groups as far as Pakistan like Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch freedom movement through Maulana Fazlullah who voiced support for the terror group and swore allegiance to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. It was not only Maulana Fazlullah who teamed up with ISIS, another local group called Jamaatul Ahrar, also declared its support for ISIS. The presence of ISIS in Pakistan and allegiance of TTP groups is truly a disturbing news and is likely to have serious consequences for a country that is already in turmoil due to incompetent governance, economic crises and political tension. In the last two months, Shoebat.com reported all across the Muslim world, ISIS has magnetized a litany of major terrorist organizations to give the Bay’at (allegiance) and join under ISIS such as Jund al-Khilafah (Soldiers of the Caliphate, In North Africa), Ansar al-Shariah (Libya), Taliban (Pakistan), The Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (Pakistan’s North Waziristan), Al-Tawhid Battalion (Pakistan, Afghanistan), Al-Nusra (Lebanon), Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (Yemen), Ansar al-Tawhid in the Land of Hind (India), Anṣār Bayt al-Maqdis (Sinai) and Jund al-Khilafah (Egypt).

Pakistan has some unprotected nuclear weapons and ISIS certainly has its eyes on that and beyond any doubt it will strive to reach those weapons.

ISIS will strive for acquiring nuclear weapons in Pakistan and will get it, its only a matter of time.
