Karl Rove Suggests Benghazi as Ridiculous to Investigate as Obama’s Birth Certificate in Apparent Effort to Protect Hillary Clinton, Dirtied Up Republicans, and Even Himself

During a recent interview with Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly, George W. Bush’s most trusted adviser during his administration – Karl Rove – made a stunning comparison. In so doing, it should be obvious why he’s doing it. While talking about the 2016 presidential race and Hillary Clinton’s chances, Rove suggested that people who want to get to the truth about what happened in Benghazi risk becoming the equivalent of Barack Obama ‘Birthers’, individuals who believe Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii.

By planting the seeds for this narrative, it is Rove himself who is trying to make the Benghazi issue so radioactive that Republicans stop investigating it. He is brazenly attempting to undermine the Select Committee’s work as well:

Why would Karl Rove do such a thing? The answer may have to do with protecting the Bushes, the Clintons and elected Republicans who stood shoulder to shoulder with Rove’s former boss, the 43rd President of the U.S.

The truth about what happened in Benghazi is ugly indeed. It’s a truth that has left both parties dirtied up. Of all the Republicans who appear to be implicated most, Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee in Intelligence (HPSCI) at the time, Mike Rogers, may be at or near the top of the list, as Shoebat.com has chronicled at great length. In fact, Rogers’ involvement appears to include his wife Kristi Rogers, who in 2011 was promoted to the Board of Directors of a company (Aegis) that reportedly was ultimately responsible for outsourcing security at the Benghazi Special Mission Compound (SMC).

Kristi Rogers left Aegis in December of 2012.

In early August of last year, HPSCI concluded its Benghazi report, though it wasn’t released until the Friday prior to Thanksgiving, at a time when it would be the least likely to make an impact. The day prior to its release, Barack Obama announced that he was taking ‘Executive action’ on amnesty. Amidst all of that, the grand jury decision in the case of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson dominated the news, practically relegating the HPSCI report to obscurity.

Back in August, Democrats on the Committee touted the conclusions as having exonerated Hillary and the Obama administration; Rogers remained tight-lipped. As Shoebat.com reported, this had the effect of making the House Select Committee’s efforts a bit more difficult as it gave ammunition to Democrats, who touted the findings of a Republican-led committee as justification for ending the Select Committee’s work.

Then, of course, there is the issue of Rogers’ radio career. Last March, two weeks after his wife quietly resigned from her job at a law firm, her husband announced he would not be running for re-election and that he would be entering the talk radio business as a host with Cumulus in January of 2015.

Then, just a few weeks prior to the official release of the HPSCI report, Cumulus announced that instead of doing a long-form talk show, Rogers would only be doing a “thrice-daily feature program called, ‘Something to Think About’.” While it was reported that Rogers was being introduced via short-form programming in an effort to introduce him into the talk radio format slowly, another consequence is that Rogers would be protected from having to take calls from listeners demanding answers to questions about Benghazi, which just isn’t going away.

Here is a sample of what ‘Something to Think About’ sounds like:

House Speaker John Boehner is another figure who had to have been in the know if Rogers was. It’s no secret that Boehner didn’t want to form a Select Committee on Benghazi. He only did so after Judicial Watch released the ‘smoking gun’ email from White House Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes, dated September 14, 2012.

Just as the release of the HPSCI report coincided with other news that was given far more attention, the same thing happened when the announcement of a Select Committee should have dominated the news. On the very day the formation of that committee was announced, the #BringBackOurGirls counter-campaign was launched. The opening salvo came later that afternoon on Fox News Channel’s The Five. A very unhinged Bob Beckel came out of left field with the story of Boko Haram kidnapping hundreds of schoolgirls. Host Eric Bolling was caught completely off-guard. In reality, Beckel was doing the bidding of the Democrats to change the subject, unwittingly or not, as Shoebat.com reported. Here’s the video:

Lest you doubt that was coordinated, check out the subsequent timeline of events after Beckel’s rant, posted at Shoebat.com.

If Boehner knew what Rogers knew about Benghazi and the U.S. role in the region beginning in 2011, there very well may be a conflict of interest relative to Boehner being the guy responsible for forming the Committee as well as not subverting its work. As Shoebat.com reported, this is one of the reasons why the appointment of Philip Kiko as the Committee’s Executive Director should raise eyebrows. Kiko is a Washington, DC insider whose history goes back to helping Rep. James Sensenbrenner author the Patriot Act. Kiko’s loyalties to Boehner are not known but should be thoroughly vetted as both men are quite familiar with one another.

Boehner has been a George W. Bush loyalist for years. As such, he certainly must appreciate Rove’s help in equating Benghazi with the issue of Obama’s Birth Certificate, especially if he knew what was going on in Benghazi.

To fully understand why the painfully ubiquitous Rove would want to protect Hillary Clinton from Benghazi, one must examine the history between the Bushes and the Clintons, which dates back to the 1980’s when Bill was the Governor of Arkansas and George H.W. Bush was the Vice President and former CIA Director.

Former U.S. Congressman Allen West once wrote that Benghazi would “make Iran-Contra look like Romper Room.” West may or may not know just how prescient that statement was. In an extremely powerful and well-documented book, former CIA intelligence asset Terry Reed laid bare the truth behind Iran-Contra. According to Reed, Vice President Bush collaborated with Governor Bill Clinton by setting up CIA-backed companies in Mena, Arkansas that manufactured untraceable weapons without serial numbers, that were shipped to Nicaragua. Everything went downhill from there.

As George W. Bush’s closest adviser, Rove must know all about this. As Shoebat.com laid out, based on Obama’s connections in the early 1980’s, he may have known about it all then. If he didn’t, he certainly does as President of the United States.

Rove’s tactics have more to do with protecting the family of his former boss than they do protecting the Clintons. The latter is a consequence of the former. Evidence suggests that Rove wants Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton in the 2016 race to help ensure this protection. As for likening Benghazi to Birthers, that helps Boehner, Rogers and the entire Republican Party establishment.

The U.S. State Department has been infiltrated by Muslim Brotherhood-linked agents. One such individual is Hillary Clinton’s closest adviser Huma Abedin. When very legitimate questions about Abedin’s background were raised by Rep. Michele Bachmann, both Rogers and Boehner were counted among Abedin’s defenders who ridiculed Bachmann.

Another figure who did the same was none other than Kiko’s former boss, Sensenbrenner, as Shoebat.com reported.

The truth about Benghazi also involves both the State Department and the Muslim Brotherhood, of which none other than the February 17th Martyrs Brigades (F17MB) are a part. F17MB was contracted – ultimately by Aegis – to provide security at the SMC where Ambassador Christopher Stevens was murdered.

Exactly 90 days after Bachmann gave the State Department’s IG 90 days to respond to her concerns about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of the State Department, the Benghazi attacks occurred, as Shoebat.com reported.

Rove may also have some highly personal reasons to help facilitate a Jeb / Hillary race. It was Rove who helped bring leaders of Muslim Brotherhood-linked groups into the George W. Bush White House, as Shoebat.com demonstrated.
