The Metropolitan Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is the largest Church in Mexico, right in the heart of Mexico city. Dating back to the time of the conquistadors, it is a visible sign of the conquest of Christ and His Church over the wicked paganism of ancient Mexico. Yet as Islam has been spreading worldwide, is it now brazenly attacking even the most sacred of places where few to no Muslims are to be found.
Recently, a French Muslim attacked a priest at the Church, Fr. Miguel Machorro, while he was at the altar and tried to behead him, violently plunging a blade into his neck before the parishioners were able to stop and restrain him:
A priest who officiated at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Mexico City was stabbed last Monday at 6:00 pm by a middle-aged man who went up to the altar and thrust a blade into his neck.
According to the archdiocese, the attacker named John Rene Rockschiil , of Muslim confession according to Mexican media, was arrested after carrying out the attack with a knife.
After calling the police, a Condor unit from the capital’s public security secretariat arrived in the vicinity of the temple located in the historic center to carry the cleric to the San Miguel Chapultepec hospital .
Some of the testimonies of the parishioners who were in the church emphasize that some of those present accosted the 35-year-old man, in addition to providing medical care to the parish priest Miguel Angel Machorro, until help arrived. (source)
