There is an active shooting going on right now in the Youtube building in San Bruno. As we read in a report from Vice:
YouTube employees are reporting gunshots inside YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California.
San Bruno police and Google have both confirmed they are investigating the situation, but did not provide any details. Most updates are coming from YouTube employees at the scene.
“Heard shots and saw people running while at my desk. Now barricaded inside a room with coworkers,” Vadim Lavrusik, a YouTube product manager, wrote on Twitter.
Todd Sherman, another product manager, wrote on Twitter that he was sitting in a meeting when he “heard people running because it was rumbling the floor. First thought was earthquake. After existing the room we still didn’t know what was going on but more people were running. Seemed serious and not like a drill. We headed towards the exit and then saw more people and someone said that there was a person with a gun. Shit.”
“I looked down and saw blood drips on the floor and stairs. Peaked around for threats and then we headed downstairs and out the front. Police cruisers pull up, hopped out with rifles ready and I told them where the situation was as I headed down the street to meet up with a couple team members,” Sherman, who said he was safely in an Uber home, tweeted.
San Bruno Police scanner reports seems to suggest there could be as many as 11 injured in YouTube HQ shooting, there’s talk of transporting individuals to different hospitals
